Laura Wilt is currently a student at Shepherd University experimenting with a wide range of mediums as they pursue their BFA in painting and drawing. Before and during their studies at Shepherd they have explored a plethora of mediums and processes through layering and college-esque manipulation both physically and digitally. Despite the variation of mediums used, Laura's aesthetic remains clean, precise, and colorful; they prefer utilizing neat linework and movement in order to express complex emotions and stories. So far in their career, Laura has exhibited in a plethora of places and won a handful of awards for their heartfelt work. They have been published in Sans Merci Volume 42 and the Shepherdstown Art Magazine editions II and III, and won Best in Show at the 2023 Student Honors Exhibition at Shepherd University. They have dabbled in art markets locally as well, and helped teach an Art Market class in 2023. Currently, Laura works as a studio monitor at Shepherd University and assists students on Rhino 6 and the Epilog Laser. In the off chance they're not trying to do everything at once, you'll find them holed up in some dark place, fairy lights on, headphones blasting a podcast, scribbling furiously on their poor, suffering ipad.
