Are you a visionary leader with a passion for the arts? The Washington County Arts Council (WCAC) is seeking an Executive Director to drive our mission forward. You’ll oversee daily operations, manage staff and volunteers, secure funding, and build community partnerships.
About Us:The Washington County Arts Council (WCAC) is on a mission to enrich lives through the arts, enhancing the community's cultural and economic vitality. We advocate for the arts, coordinate activities, and support local artists.
Role Overview:Reports To: Board of Directors
Type: Full-Time Exempt
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans.
- Oversee gallery operations, budget, and financial management.
- Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
- Promote WCAC at events and in the community.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university; Preference for master’s degree in arts, arts management, business, non-profit management, or a related field.
- Proven leadership in the arts or nonprofit sector.
- Strong financial management and fundraising skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Knowledge of the local arts scene is a plus.
- Residency in the State of Maryland is required.
