Art can be found every day in everything. It is in the things we hear, the things we feel and in many of the things we see. It is how a sliver of early morning sunlight falls on a coppice of trees, or how raindrops can break the night’s silence. It is in the beauty that surrounds us, or in the ugly we shield ourselves from. As an artist, I gain inspiration from a wide variety of such events. They help to clarify my purpose and stimulate me. Whether I capture a figure in paint or create a texture in clay, I firmly believe I am exploring an exclusive and often untapped realm.
