Penny Knobel-Besa is a free-lance photographer, playwright, and director. In the past she was named Maryland Photographer of the Year, received a national award from the Big Sisters-Big Brothers for her photography, and she was selected as the 2012 photographer for the literary journal, “Backbone Mountain”. Her photos appeared in the national award winning literary magazine the “Antietam Review” and in “Ginseng” another regional publication.
