In the Eye of the Storm the first novel by author Deborah E. Hammond has just been released through Amazon.com in both the Kindle version and paperback versions. Mrs. Hammond is a resident of Berkeley County, West Virginia where she lives with her husband Bill in Falling Waters. Mrs. Hammond is a 1980 Cum Laude graduate of Hood College in Frederick, Maryland and a 1982 graduate of the University of Virginia with a Masters in Urban and Environmental Planning. Mrs. Hammond worked for thirty-one years in local government prior to her retirement in March. In the Eye of the Storm is a novel that chronicles the adventures of a post Civil War era heroine drawn into a web of intrigue as she travels from her home in Wilmington, North Carolina to London, England for the resolution of her Father’s estate. The simple mission to obtain her inheritance leads to threats upon her own life and to the lives of others she comes to hold dear.
